SMALL COMMODE,

Transition, signed L. BOUDIN (Leonard Boudin, maître 1761), Paris ca. 1765.
Mahogany in veneer, finely inlaid with fillets and reserves. Front with 2 sans-traverse drawers, with a narrow drawer on top. Exquisite matte and polished gilt bronze mounts and sabots. Shaped "Brèche d'Alep" marble top. Old inventory inscription SEL 210 in ink, applied by the East Ministry Rosenberg when confiscating the cabinet in 1940.
