TEAPOT ON PRÉSENTOIR

Berne, mid -19th century. Maker's mark Rehfues.
The edge of the présentoir is decorated with a frieze edge. Convex teapot, the rim matching that of the présentoir. Curved spout and handle , both inspired by the head of an animal. Domed lid with a blossom finial. Engraved dedication: "Souvenir de Reconaissance des enfants Marquis" and "I. Chappuis" on the teapot, the présentoir bears the initials "I.C.".
L 33.5 cm, 850 g.

General wear, such as surface scratches and fine dents.
