A WHITE METAL FIGURE OF SAMVARA YAB YUM WITH PAREDRA. Tibet, 18th c. Height 13 cm.

Weissmetall, die Köpfe sind kalt bemalt. Die vierarmige Gottheit mit Handtrommel und tantrischem Stab, sowie Vajra und Ghanta in den Händen, umschlingt die Paredra, welche ein Hackmesser in die Höhe reckt und eine Schädelschale hinter dem Kopf des Gefährten hält. Eine lange Schädelkette baumelt fast bis auf den Boden herab. Ein vertikales Auge ziert beide Gesichter.
