LARGE MAIOLICA SYRUP JUG, Tuscany, Montelupo, mid 16th century. Oval form with two sea creature handles and a straight spout, painted in blue, yeallow, ochre and green with a shield, the armorial flaked off, in a foliage border with fruit and pine cone, on a scrolling foliage ground in blue, 38cm. Small rim chips.
