SAKE BOWL with cloisonné enamel decoration. In the well: Jo and Uba, two ghosts, inhabiting the pines of Takasago. They are represented as an old couple: he is holding a rake, she is holding a broom. The background is smoothly gilded. The bottom shows chrysanthemums and karakusa on a turquoise background. Mark: Pavilion of Spring. Japan, Meiji Period, D 10.7 cm. Berti Aschmann Collection.

mit Email-Cloisonné-Dekor. Im Spiegel Jo und Uba, zwei Geister, welche die Pinien von Takasago bewohnen. Sie sind wie üblich dargestellt als altes Paar, er mit Rechen, sie mit Besen, die Piniennadeln zusammenkehrend. Der Hintergrund ist glatt vergoldet. Unterseite mit Chrysanthemen und karakusa auf türkisem Grund. Gemarkt: Pavillion des langen Frühlings. Japan, Meiji-Periode, D 10,7 cm.
