LACQUER CHEST OF DRAWERS,Louis XV, stamped P. GARNIER (Pierre Garnier, maitre 1742), Paris circa 1760. Lacquered on all sides in "goût chinois" with polychrome exotic birds in idealised landscape on black ground. The centrally bombé front with 2 sans traverse drawers, gilt bronze mounts and sabots and shaped "Brèche d'Alep" top. 99x53x86 cm. Provenance: Château de Vincy, West Switzerland. A fine and very elegant chest of drawers.

Holz allseitig gelackt im "goût chinois"; auf schwarzem Fond polychrome Darstellung von exotischen Vögeln in idealisierter Parklandschaft. Geschweifter, trapezförmiger Korpus mit vorstehenden vorderen Eckstollen auf wellig ausgeschnittener Zarge mit markant geschweiften Beinen. In der Mitte gebauchte Front mit 2 Schubladen ohne Traverse. Vergoldete Bronzebeschläge und -sabots. Profilierte "Brèche d'Alep"-Platte. 99x53x86 cm.
