LARGE GILTWOOD CENTRE TABLE "AU MASCARON", so-called "table à gibier",Régence, from a Paris master workshop, probably after designs by J.B.H. TORO (Jean Bernard Honoré Turreau, called Toro, Toulon 1672-1731 Paris), circa 1730. Carved with masks, dolphins' heads, cartouches, flowers and leaves. With richly shaped grey-pink speckled marble top. The gilding in need of some restoration. 158x76x85 cm. Provenance: Château de Vincy, West Switzerland. A high quality console with outstanding carving.
