WRITING DESK "A FLEURS", Louis XVI, stamped D. DELOOSE (Daniel de Loose, maitre 1767), Paris circa 1775/80. Tulipwood and lemonwood in veneer and finely inlaid with lozenges, flowers, fillets and frieze. The top edged in bronze, with tapering legs and 1 drawer with leather lined cover and compartment for writing utensils. With exceptionally fine matte and polished gilt bronze mounts and sabots. 55.5x36x5x70 cm. Provenance: from an important Paris private collection
