SEATED LION, Rouen, circa 1740. With light blue glaze. The face heightened in blue and iron red. H 9cm, W 8cm. One corner with flat area of wear. Provenance: private collection, South Germany Acquired in 1974 from Heinz Richert in Munich

In sitzender Pose als Löwin mit Mähne modelliert, hellblau glasiert, Mähne und Schanz bemalt in Schwarz und Gelb, das Gesicht gehöht in Blau und Eisenrot, auf einem rechteckigen Sockel in Blau. H 9cm, B 8cm. Eine Ecke mit flacher Bestossung.
