LACQUER CHEST OF DRAWERS,Louis XV, with the signature MIGEON (Pierre II Migeon, maitre 1739) and guild stamp, Paris circa 1750. Wood lacquered on all sides in "the Chinese style"; with idealised park and pagoda landscapes on a black ground. The centrally bombé front with 2 sans traverse drawers, fine matte and polished gilt bronze mounts and sabots and shaped "Brèche d'Alep" top. 120x63x84.5 cm. Provenance: - In the 19th century in the collection of Comte Jacques de Vienne, Paris. - Private collection, Australia.
