LARGE PAINTED CRADLE,Louis XV, Venice, 18th century. Richly carved, parcel gilt and polychrome painted wood with cartouches, leaves and frieze. L ca. 150 cm. Provenance: - Traditionally considered to be part of the former collection of Empress Catherine the Great. - A diplomatic gift to an Italian nobleman. -Demidoff collection, Florence. -West Swiss castle collection.

Louis XV, Venedig, 18. Jh.
Holz reich beschnitzt mit Kartuschen, Blättern und Zierfries sowie teils vergoldet bzw. polychrom gefasst. Barkenförmige Wiege, getragen von 2 markanten Volutenstützen, auf mehrfach eingezogenem Rechtecksockel. L ca. 150 cm.
