RED LACQUERED DESK,Louis XV, stamped MIGEON (Pierre II Migeon, Maitre 1739), Paris circa 1745/50. Lacquered on all sides with exceptionally fine park and pagoda landscapes in delicate gold tones on a red ground. With a fall front writing surface lined with green leather, enclosing an ebonised fitted interior with large central compartment, drawers and further compartment, including secret compartment. With fine gilt bronze mounts and sabots. The lacquer painting partly restored. 92x51x(open 85)x95 cm. Provenance: from a Paris private collection.
