CUBIC SUNDIAL WITH COMPASS,late Baroque, inscribed D. BERINGER (David Beringer, 1756-1829), German circa 1800. Paper (colored copperplate engraving), iron and wood. 5 faces. With joint for adjusting the latitude, small compass in the base. Cube 6.7x6.7x6.7 cm. H 19 cm.

Spätbarock, bez. D. BERINGER (David Beringer, 1756-1829), deutsch um 1800.
Papier (kolorierte Kupferstiche), Eisen und Holz. 5 verschiedene Zifferblätter: Auf der Oberseite waagrechte Sonnenuhr, vorn die Süduhr, auf der Rückseite die Norduhr für morgens und abends, links die Ostuhr für vormittags, mit Graden und (ersetztem) Senkel, rechts die Westuhr für nachmittags. Auf Balusterfuss mit Gelenk zur Einstellung der Polhöhe, im Sockel kleiner Kompass. Würfel 6,7x6,7x6,7 cm. H 19 cm.
