SET OF 5 "BLUE JASPER WARE" VASES,Wedgwood, circa 1800. Each in French form, painted light blue and applied with white reliefs of Antique mythological scenes after classical models among foliate garlands and spear-leaf borders. Impressed marks 'WEDGWOOD' and rhomboid incised marks. Restorations. H 17.5 and 23 and 30 cm. (10) Provenance: - Traditionally considered to be from the house of the British historian Edward Gibbon (1737-1794), Lausanne. - Private collection, Geneva.

Jede in französischer Form, gefasst in Hellblau mit weissen Reliefauflagen mit antiken mythologischen Szenen nach klassischen Vorbildern, zwischen Blattgirlanden und Lanzettblätterbordüren. Die geschwungenen Blatthenkel mit Widderkopfansätzen, mit entsprechenden Deckeln und auf quadratischen, profilierten Sockeln. Eingepresste Marken 'WEDGWOOD' und rautenförmige Ritzzeichen. Restaurierungen. H 17,5 bzw. 23 bzw. 30 cm. (10)
