POSTMASTER SCHMIEDEL AND HOFNARR FRÖHLICH,

Meissen, model by J.J. Kändler c. 1741, casting c. 1900. Painted outside of the factory.
Schmiedel in yellow jacket and recoiling from a mouse in Fröhlich's hand, the latter wearing a green jacket and pointed hat with an owl on the brim, grouped before a tree. Underglaze blue sword mark with pommels and 1 slash mark, incised form number 290X., Pressnummer 6.
H 26 cm. Leaves partly chipped and restored, various small restorations.
