A SMALL CLOCK ON PLINTH WITH BOULLE MARQUETRY,
Regence, France, 18th century. The movement and dial signed J. BAPTISTE BAILLON À PARIS (maitre circa 1770) and numbered 1608.
The wood case with contre-Boulle inlays in brass, tortoiseshell and mother of pearl. Bronze mounts, partly later. verge escapement and 3/4 striking on 2 bells. Restorations. the mainspring damaged. Key absent.
