ALABASTER RELIEF: THE ENTOMBMENT
Mechelen, early 17th century.
Alabaster cut in relief and heightened with gold. Rectangular shape. Depiction of the Entombment of Christ with a wooden ladder, an implied cross and a city in the background. In a later gilt wooden frame. The reverse with old inventory number 13.
Without frame 14 × 11 cm.

- Alabaster with various cracks and restorations, some cracks are throughout. Gilding rubbed.<br>- Wooden frame with cracks, chips, scratches and losses to the gilding. One hole drilled throughout in the lower right.<br>- Wood on the back with a continuous crack. CHF 500 / 800 | (€ 520 / 820)
