IMPORTANT COMMODE "A FLEURS",Louis XV, stamped DELORME (Adrien Delorme, maitre 1748), Paris circa 1750. Tulipwood, amaranth and exotic, partly-dyed precious woods in veneer with exceptionally fine inlays. Front with 2 drawers sans traverse. Exceptionally rich, matte and polished gilt bronze mounts and sabots. Shaped, pink/beige speckled marble top. 124x63x89 cm. Provenance: - Formerly part of a Russian aristocratic collection. - Former Emden collection, Porto Ronco. - Galerie Koller Zurich auction on 5.11.1982 (Lot No. 2495). - From a highly important Swiss private collection. Rosenholz, Amarant und exotische, teils getönte Edelhölzer gefriest sowie ausserordentlich fein eingelegt mit Blumenbouquets, Filets, Rautenmuster und Zierfries. Geschweifter, trapezförmiger Korpus mit vorstehenden vorderen Eckstollen auf wellig ausgeschnittener Zarge mit geschweiften Beinen. In der Mitte gebauchte Front mit 2 Schubladen ohne Traverse. Ausserordentlich reiche, matt- und glanzvergoldete Bronzebeschläge und -sabots. Profilierte, rosa/beige gesprenkelte Marmorplatte. 124x63x89 cm.
