TURQUOISE AND GOLD PARURE, ANNA FEODOROVNA OF ELFENAU, ca. 1840.

Yellow gold, 244g.
Ensemble, decorated with flower motifs, matt-finish acanthus leaves, polished volute- and bead ornaments, granulated gold wire and enhanced with turquoises. The necklace composed of 10 floral links, centering upon an oval element, suspending a detachable pendant, convertible into a brooch, ending with 3 pendants in form of turquoise-set leaves. Ca. 7,3 x 8,8 cm. L ca. 50 cm. Matching wide bracelet with a large, floral central element. W ca. 6,4 cm, L ca. 17,5 cm, with 1 extension link. Ensuite a pair of floral brooches with turquoises, probably originally buckles or clasps. Ca. 5,3 x 4,7 cm. Ensuite girandole ear pendants, decorated with turquoise-set flowers and leaf motifs. L ca. 6 cm.


With original large red leather case.
Provenance: Grand Duchess Anna Feodorovna of Elfenau (1781-1860) (Juliane of Sachsen-Coburg-Saalfeld) by means of inheritance in possession of Maria Victoria Mauritia of Mülinen. Family-owned to this day.
