Red tortoiseshell, exquisitely inlaid with brass, tin, mother–of–pearl, antiqued figures and cartouches, exotic animals, flowers, leaves and decorative frieze. Protruding top, edged in brass. Hexagonal shaft with scrolled feet. Fine matte and polished gilt bronze mounts and applications. D 71 cm. H 81 cm.
