Sumerian, Early Dynastic III, ca. 2600–2350 BC
Limestone, carved all round. The lower body of a male worshipping figure on a rectangular base and leaning against a column. Ankle-length garment, so-called kaunakes. The feet in a slightly offset position. Several drill holes on the back and in the upper area of the robe. A loose stone plug, probably the former fastening of the upper body. The underside with a later felt pad.

LARGE CYCLADIC IDOL - FROM A SWISS PRIVATE COLLECTION

Early Cycladic, Spedos type, ca. 2500–2400 BC. Attributed to the Goulandris Sculptor.
Marble. Large fragment of a female idol. Lyre-shaped head with a prominent, elongated nose merging directly into a receding forehead, harmoniously rounded chin. Long, slightly thickened neck (restored). Sloping shoulders, the shoulder base at slightly different heights. Broad torso with small, widely spaced, pointed breasts. The slender arms are crossed under the chest. Slightly bulging belly, notched underbelly fold merging into a stylized pubic triangle. Slightly curved thighs with a deeply notched thigh slit. Visible notched upper arm slits on the back. Straight back with slightly bulging buttocks and a deeply notched thigh slit. With a later metal frame.

Marble, worked in high relief, flattened on the reverse. Depiction of a wedding scene with Concordia between the bride and the groom who are both clasping one another's right hand, known as “Dextrarum Iunctio”. Concordia is embracing the couple, her hands resting on their shoulders. The figures are dressed in long himations. A fruit basket is probably placed at the feet of Concordia. On a gray painted, later plinth.

The belt clasp is Ostrogothic, probably from the 5th/6th century A.D. The mounting is modern.
Chased silver, parcel-gilt. Rectangular plaque with a broad frame decorated with wave meanders, the center with an inlaid carnelian intaglio gemstone depicting an eagle. The corners set with 8 red almandines. The clasp designed as the head of a stylized bird, also set with 4 almandines. Modern connecting piece in 18-carat gold (750). Modern necklace in 925 silver.

Italy or France, in the late Romanesque style, probably 16th century.
Engraved iron with copper rivets. Rectangular design with a gabled roof. The front is architecturally structured with a Romanesque protruding portal (probably partly added) with two freestanding columns resting on lion pedestals. Flanked by two doors with round arches. A wheel-shpaed window in the middle above the portal, two smaller round-arched windows on the sides. Engraved, partly covered inscription “Sct Ac(?) (E)cclesia”. The back is engraved with the Christ monogram and belt loops.

Venice, 15th century. Workshop of the Embriachi.
Bone carved in relief, poplar and walnut. Rectangular body with a hinged lid shaped like a flattened mansard roof and an iron handle on a flat, profiled base. The sides with bone plaques in relief depicting a man and a woman, as well as armed warriors as cornerstones. The lid with bone plates in relief with cherubs holding hands, foliage and cartouches, one of which is engraved with “ADEFONS REX”. Iron lock and later key.
