Napoleon III, France, end of the 19th century.
Case with applied red tortoiseshell and inlaid with brass flowers and tendrils. Bronze mounts. The top featuring Mercury. Dial with white enamel cartouches. Movement with anchor escapement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell.
