CARTEL CLOCK
Louis XVI, Paris, mid-18th century. The dial and movement signed Moisy à Paris, the movement numbered 798 (Jean Moisy, master craftsman from 1753).
Gilt bronze. Cartouche-shaped, architectural case with vase top with two rams' heads. With decorative friezes and laurel garlands. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes. Movement with anchor escapement and half-hour strike on bell. Key missing.
H 73 cm.
