BOULLE CLOCK WITH PLINTH,

Régence, the dial and movement signed CAILLE A PARIS (Claude Salomon Caille, maître 1739), Paris ca. 1740.
Brown tortoiseshell, finely inlaid with brass; flowers, leaves, cartouches and decorative frieze. Bronze dial with 24 enamel cartouches for the hours and the minutes. 2 hands. Original movement with anchor escapement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell. Opulent brass mounts and applications.
