A CLOISONNE LIDDED BOX..

Japan, Meiji period, 16.3 × 8.8 × 6.3 cm.
Rectangular, midnight blue with a silver border. The polychrome decoration, which stretches across two sides of the box, consists of birds, asters and chrysanthemums. Enamelled dark blue inside.

Provenance: Old Swiss private collection.
Good condition.
- Some slight scratches, especially on the base
