This Leiden edition is particularly valued for its numerous city views after Merian, which are among the best by Van der Aa, including Altdorf, Baden, Bern, Chur, Fribourg, Glarus, Lausanne, Luzern, Rapperswil, Sion, Solothurn, St. Gallen, Thun, Zürich, and others. Also included are plans (mountain and river's profile), mineralogical, botanical and zoological tables (mythical creatures). - Evenly slightly browned, upper margin consistently somewhat damp-stained.
