MISSAL CASKET
France or Flanders, ca. 1400.
Wood, leather and iron with dark lacquer. Rectangular body with side handles and a hinged lid. Wooden core with red and embossed leather, the outer sides with iron fittings shaped as rosettes and serrated decorative edging. The central iron lock with a hasp flanked by two additional hasps. No key.
10 × 9.5 × 6 cm.
Warped. Traces of wear, scratches, losses.
