BERNE CLOCK WITH WOODEN GEAR TRAIN AND ALARM
Beginning of the 19th century
Closed blackened wooden case with semicircular top. Fronton applied with a white dial with Roman hour markers, the corners decorated with winged angel heads in tin. Wooden and brass gear train with verge escapement on cowtail pendulum. Hour striking mechanism on bell, small fly governor on the back. Alarm mechanism on bell. Metal weights.
14.5 × 17 × 25.5 cm.
