COIFFEUSE
Louis XVI, France, ca. 1780. Bears two signatures: J.P. DUSAUTOY (Jean-Pierre Dusautoy, master craftsman 1779)
Mahogany. Rectangular body on a straight frame with a knee recess and fluted, conical legs with sabots. The top can be opened in three parts, the middle section opens to reveal a compartment, with the inside of the lid mirrored. The outer wings open to reveal compartments under further lids. One compartment with fittings for toiletries (missing). Bronze mounts. 1 key. Mounted on a later forged frame on casters.
