GOLD/ENAMEL OPERA GLASSES
Replica of a work by Carl Fabergé, produced as a unique specimen by the Meister company in Zurich in the early 1980s. Marked EM and with gold mark 750, 18 k.
Red and yellow gold (185 g), guilloché and coated with translucent pink enamel. Applied diamond roses (22.71 ct) in the form of Baroque foliate scrolls. With original box and case.

The original opera glasses were crafted between 1898 and 1903 by master craftsman Mikhail Perkhin at Carl Fabergé for the Russian Imperial Court. At the time, the replica was produced by the Meister company in Zurich, the original model was in the possession of the New York antiques dealer Jan Skala. Another pair is housed in the Fabergé Museum in St. Petersburg.
