Diese schöne Darstellung war einst Element einer Kirchenikonostase und entstand in der zentralrussischen Stadt Suzdal. Zu Beginn des 18. Jahrhunderts wurde die Ikone dem Zeitgeschmack entsprechend etwas überarbeitet.
Conditionreport:
Oil-tempera mixed media on canvas laid on panel. Panel minimally warped with one vertical join and one horizontal join in the lower third. Verso with five horizontal cross battens inset into the panel. Paint surface with a fine network of craquelure, light surface soiling, small losses in places, small superficial scratches and colour abrasion. <br>Under UV light: retouching along the joins, to the figure and in the background visible. Varnish fluoresces unevenly greenish. <br>Overall good condition. <br>Unframed. CHF 1 000 / 1 500 | (€ 1 030 / 1 550)
