TERRACOTTA VOTIVE HEAD WITH CURLS

Magna Graecia, Medma in Calabria/Italy, archaic style, ca. 5th century BC.
Terracotta flattened on verso. Female head with curls and pearl earrings, remnants of a tiara. Mounted on a later plexiglass base.
H without base 10.5 cm, W 8 cm. H with base 13.5 cm.

Provenance:
- Collection Dr. Marcel Ebnöther (1920-2008), Switzerland.
- Gallery Jürgen Haering, Freiburg i.B., Germany, acquired from the above in the 1980s.
- Swiss private collection.
