IRON CLOCK,
probably Bern, mid-18th century.
Enclosed case. Sheet metal dial painted with blue scrolls and rocailles. Chapter ring for the hours and minutes, and separate chapter ring for the seconds. Brass gears with brass plates and rectangular iron pillars. Clock movement and striking mechanism arranged next to one another. Striking mechanism, striking the hour on 1 bell and the quarter on 2 bells. Pendulum missing.
