BUREAU-CABINET WITH UPPER SECTION

Baroque, Berne ca. 1750/70.
Walnut in veneer, finely inlaid with reserves and decorative frieze. Hinged writing surface above 3 drawers. Fitted interior, with a large central compartment below a drawer, with five stacked drawers on each side. Secret compartments. Recessed upper section with central door, with 14 stacked coin drawers on each side, converted into doors. Gilt bronze mounts.
140 x 60 x (open 88) x 240 cm.
