LOT COMPRISING 5 BEAKERS WITH HANDLES, SO-CALLED "LOVING CUPS"

London and Dublin, ca. 1800.
London, 1798/99, Peter & Ann Bateman. London, 1801/02, Samuel Godbehere & Edward Wigan. Dublin, ca. 1770, maker's mark Charles Townsend and further manufacturer's mark Michael Cormick, probably the salesperson. Dublin 1748 or 1774, without maker's mark. London 1784, maker's mark Thomas Wallis I.
All of different shapes and designs. On a retracted foot. Chased and chiseled walls, in part with floral decoration, rocailles and birds.
H 13.5-15.5 cm. Total weight 1,765 g.


Condition:
Age-appropriate traces of use, such as surface scratches and dents. Some of the cups with traces of repair, particularly on the feet. In overall good condition.
