A BRONZE AND IRON RITUAL CHOPPER (KARTTRKA).

Tibet, 16th/17th c. Width 17 cm.
The blade adorned with silver and gold damascened lotos scrolls. Minor repair.


An almost identical piece from the Essen collection is published in M. Henss, Buddhist Ritual Art in Tibet, 2020, illu. 254.

Provenance: Swiss private collection, purchased in 1992.

刀上嵌銀和金大馬士革纏枝蓮紋飾。 小修。
