LARGE GREEN HORN PENDULE ON PLINTH

Louis XV, France, Paris ca. 1765. The dial, signed Causard Hgr. du Roi, Suivt. La Cour. (Edmé Causard, deceased in 1780).
Curved case, decorated with green horn and inlaid with engraved brass. Gilt decorative bronzes , designed as foliage, scrolls and decorative friezes. Treize pièce enamel dial. Movement with verge escapement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell, from the time, but built-in later. 1 key.
54 x 25 x 147 cm.
