COMBINATION TABLE WITH CHINOISERIE SCENES, Louis XV, by A. and D. ROENTGEN (Abraham Roentgen, 1711-1793, David Roentgen, 1741-1809), dated 1771 and monogrammed CT, Neuwied circa 1770. Mahogany, walnut, maple, boxwood and partly dyed precious woods in veneer also finely inlaid with fishing scene in the Chinese style. 1 broad frontal drawer with large central compartment below and 2 drawers. A push button in frieze releasing 2 hidden cases with 2 drawers each. 1 leg repaired. 52x71x75 cm. Provenance: - German noble collection by direct inheritance from the client. - Galerie Koller Zurich 2.10.2002 (lot. 1061). - from an important Swiss private collection Highly important combination table in almost untouched condition.
