GEMSTONE AND GOLD NECKLACE WITH PENDANT, ca. 1880. Yellow gold 750. Very attractive Revival necklace in the archaeological style, of 11 rectangular links and 11 round intermediate links with Medusa's head. Below, 11 oval pendants, flexibly mounted and graduated, each set with 1 gemstone of carnelian, heliotrope, band agate, jasper, Sardinians with antiqued portraits and mythological scenes, additionally decorated with palmettes and appliquéd gold wire ornaments. As intermediate links, 11 conical pendants designed as a stylized vase with acanthus leaves and wire ornaments. L ca. 47 cm. Matching pendant/brooch with removable eyelet, set with 1 antique-oval gemstone featuring Apollo and Hermes.

Sehr attraktives Revival-Collier im archäologischen Stil, aus 11 rechteckigen Gliedern bzw. 11 runden Zwischenteilen mit Medusakopf. Daran beweglich montiert 11 ovale Pendentifs im Verlauf besetzt mit je 1 Gemme aus Karneol, Heliotrop, Bänderachat, Jaspis, Sarden mit antikisierenden Portraits und mythologischen Szenen zusätzlich verziert mit Palmetten und applizierten Golddraht Ornamenten. Als Zwischenteile 11 konische Pendentifs in stilisierter Vasenform mit Akanthusblättern und Drahtornamenten. L ca. 42,7 cm. Dazu passende Anhänger/Brosche mit abschraubbarer Öse besetzt mit 1 antik-ovalen Gemme mit Apollo und Hermes.
