Louis XVI, attributable to C.C. SAUNIER (Claude Charles Saunier, maître 1752), Paris ca. 1780/85.
Tulipwood, rosewood and various precious woods in veneer and "en papillon", and inlaid with fillets and decorative frieze. The sliding writing surface lined with green leather, over central drawer, flanked by further drawers. Fitted interior with 3 adjacent drawers below 2 large compartments. Fine gilt bronze mounts and sabots.
