CUIRASSIER CHEST PROTECTOR,German or Swiss, 1st half of the 18th century. Forged iron, small perforations on the side, with a broad slit in the arm region. Probably a chest protector for a horseman, which did not have a back plate. Fastened by means of broad straps on the shoulders and at the waist. Small lateral perforation for fixing the inside padding.
