VERY RARE LIDDED POT WITH AUSGSBURG GOLD CHINESE FIGURES,Meissen, ca. 1720. Painted in the workshop of Bartholomäus Seuter. Round vessel with curved handle. Painted with gold Chinese figures and plants. The convex cover similarly painted and with a profiled finial. Remains of a lustre mark on the bottom of the pot. Minimal chipping on the bottom and on the cover. H 14.8 cm. (2) Provenance: - Probably from the collection of the Margravine Magdalene Wilhelmine von Baden-Durlach (1677-1742) - Inherited by the Margraves and Grand Dukes of Baden - Auction by the Margraves of Baden, Sotheby's, Baden-Baden, 5. 10 1995, Lot 1322. Acquired by a Swiss private collector in this auction.
