ANANDA AND KASYAPA.Sino-Tibetan, c. 1800, H 9.5 cm. Bronze, the eyes cold painted. The two favourite disciples of the Buddha, the young Ananda and the elder Kasyapa, each standing on a round lotus pedestal and holding an alms bowl in his hand. The pedestals cast separately.

Tibetochinesisch, um 1800, H 9,5 cm.
Bronze, die Augen kalt bemalt. Die beiden Lieblingsschüler Buddhas, der junge Ananda und der ältere Kasyapa, stehen jeweils auf runden Lotossockeln und halten eine Almosenschale in der Hand. Die Sockel sind separat gegossen.
