LACQUERED LADY'S DESK BEARING THE COAT-OF-ARMS OF THE SWEDISH ROYAL FAMILY, late Louis XV, in the style of G. FOLTJERN (Gustav Foltjern, maître 1771, active until the early 19th century), Sweden, end of the 19th century. Wood, lacquered all around in the "goût chinois"; on a red ground, colourful park and pagoda landscape with human figures and animals. Front with hinged writing surface over 2 sans traverse drawers. Bronze mounts and sabots. 85x48x(open 76)x110 cm. Provenance: - from a German collection.

spätes Louis XV, in der Art von G. FOLTJERN (Gustav Foltjern, Meister 1771, tätig bis ins frühe 19. Jh.), Schweden, Ende 19. Jh.
Holz allseitig gelackt im "goût chinois"; auf rotem Fond bunte, idealisierte Park- und Pagodenlandschaft mit Figuren und Tieren. Geschweifter, rechteckiger Korpus auf wellig ausgeschnittener Zarge mit geschweiften Beinen. Front mit schräger, aufklappbarer und innen fein lackierter Schreibplatte über 2 Schubladen ohne Traverse. Inneneinteilung mit 3 Zentralschubladen, flankiert von je 1 Fach über 2 nebeneinander liegenden Schubladen. Bronzebeschläge und -sabots. 85x48x(offen 76)x110 cm.
