Louis XVI style, after the royal commode by J.H. RIESENER (Jean Henri Riesener, maître 1768), from a Parisian master workshop, ca. 1880.
Tulipwood, rosewood and various exotic woods in veneer, inlaid with a basket, flowers, fruit, bands, leaves, lozenge patterns, rosettes and decorative frieze. Front with 3 drawers, the bottom drawer sans traverse, the top drawer divided in three compartments. Opulent matte and polished gilt bronze mounts and applications. Shaped "Carrara" marble top.
