SMALL LACQUER DESK,

Louis XVI style, after designs by A. WEISWEILER (Adam Weisweiler, maître 1778), Paris, end of the 19th century.
Profiled wood, ebonized and lacquered in the "gout chinois" with an idealized pagoda landscape on a black ground, featuring human figures, flowers, leaves and decorative frieze. Front with 1 drawer with leather-lined shelf and compartments for writing utensils. Gilt bronze mounts and sabots.
