HARLEQUIN FROM A SERIES OF COMMEDIA DELL'ARTE FIGURES FOR THE DUKE OF WEISSENFELS,

Meissen, model by Peter Reinicke, c. 1744.
Standing in a dancing pose by a tree stump, with a slapstick in his left hand, his right hand directed towards his nose. With purple pointed hat, black cape over a white jacket with gold buttons and light green breeches with playing cards. Underglaze blue sword mark on the back of the base.
H 14.5 cm. The hat restored.
