BOX, so-called MINNEKÄSTCHEN,
Gothic, Flemish or French, 15th century.
Wooden core, lined with embossed and punched leather. Iron mounts designed as stylised blossoms, the edges reinforced with iron bands. Front with lock. The top with a handle, and one side with a handle (one handle is missing). 1 key. Cracks and losses in the leather, restorations and supplements, iron mounts slightly incomplete. The inside newly lined with red velour.
