A KOFTGARI HELMET AND SHIELD (KHULA KHUD AND DAHL).

India, 19th c. Length max. (helmet) 21 cm, diameter (shield) 36 cm.
Silver and gold damascened steel. Helmet with noseguard, three plume holders, hanging chainmail and velvet lining. Circular shield with four applied bosses, the reverse with velvet and brocade padding. (2)
