Breguet, very rare and exceptional Tourbillon, ca. 2001.
This masterpiece was produced in a small series in 2001, to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the tourbillon. In 1801, Breguet patented this ingenious invention: The complete escapement system was built into a fine "cage" and additionally rotated around its axis. This allowed Breguet to compensate for rate inaccuracies while wearing his pocket watches.
